Cuisinart CCJ-500 Pulp Control Citrus Juicer

Cuisinart CCJ-500

This efficient compact juicer is designed for juicing citrus fruits and it’s the best selling citrus juicer on Amazon. It can handle any citrus from the smallest limes to large grapefruits.

The reamer is adjustable and offers 3 settings of medium, low or high pulp. So you can control how much pulp you would like in your juice.

It’s easy to use. All you need to do is take your citrus and push it on top of the reamer, which will start spinning.

The reamer of the Cuisinart CCJ-500 is also auto-reversing. So if you pushed the reamer, then released and pushed, it will reverse and start spinning in the other direction. This helps to get all the juice out.

The addition of the Final Spin makes sure that you get all the juice from the citrus to the last drop. To activate you can remove the citrus and instead put the lid on and press it down, and the juicer will start extracting all the extra juice in it. The lid you can also use when you are not juicing to protect the unit against dust.

For cleaning the parts you can use the dishwasher, so there’s no hassle work.

The housing is made of brushed metal and there are a few color options available: yellow, dark green, chocolate, dark plaid and nickel. Additionally, the juicer comes with a nice recipe book.

Cuisinart CJE-1000 Juice Extractor

Cuisinart Juicer Reviews

The second best rated Cuisinart juicer is the CJE-1000 model. Unlike the previous model, it’s designed not for only citrus, but for juicing different fruits and vegetables. However, it’s a centrifugal juicer, so it’s not the best for the greens.

The juicer has a solid construction with stainless steel and die-cast housing.

It features 1000 watts and with this high level of power it extracts maximum juice from both soft and hard fruits and vegetables. It is powerful, but surprisingly operates quietly.

The Cuisinart CJE-1000 comes with 2 containers: 68-ounce container for pulp and 1-quart pitcher for juice collecting.

It features an anti-drip spout, which you can also use to control the desired amount of foam and the juice flow.

Using it is quite easy and fast, as the large 3-inch feed chute allows juicing some of the fruits and vegetables without any precutting and the high speed quickly extracts the maximum of juice. After juicing you can also quickly cleanup by putting all the removable parts in the dishwasher. For cleaning the filter disk, the unit includes a brush.

The CJE-1000 gives you more control over your juicing process. Depending on what you are juicing, you can use the control dial of the juicer to choose one of the 5 speeds.

It’s a great juicer, but if you are looking to get the absolute most juice out of the fruits and vegetables, there are other models that could be more suitable for you. However, they will also be more costly. CJE-1000 is an affordable juicer and in its price range it’s one of the best and most effective ones.

Cuisinart CJE-500 Compact Juice Extractor

Cuisinart CJE-500

The Cuisinart CJE-500 is also a great choice for getting nutritious juice out of fruits and vegetables. It’s in the same price range as the CJE-1000, but it features a more compact size. So it’s a good option for those who don’t have too much counter space to give up for it.

It’s also centrifugal, so with 500 watts it uses high speed and therefore not suitable for juicing leafy greens.

The two containers included with this juicer have the capacity of 16 ounces for collecting juice and 40 ounces for pulp.

It does not offer multiple speeds and is activated with just a push of the on/off button.

The feed tube is also large sized for faster juicing without precutting.

The spout allows adjusting the extracted juice flow and when not collecting juice prevents drips.

The cleaning is same with the previous juicer. Removable parts are safe in the dishwasher and for the mesh basket there is a brush.

Cuisinart CCJ-100 Citrus Pro Juicer

Cuisinart CCJ-100

One more Cuisinart citrus juicer is the CCJ-100, which is an affordable and compact but powerful unit.

The housing is made from brushed stainless steel. The reamer is designed to accommodate different sizes of citrus from lime to grapefruit.

It works the same way as the CCJ-500 citrus juicer, you press the citrus over the reamer and the juicer gets activated. However, this unit does not have the Final Spin and auto-reverse reamer features.

It’s a simple, small and affordable citrus juicer. If that’s what you are looking for, then it’s a good option. To check better options check our article of the best models for citrus juicing here.

The Bottom Line

Cuisinart is a reliable brand that has proved to provide high quality products and their line of juicers is no exception. They have models for juicing citrus and other fruits and vegetables. They do not however have a juicer for juicing leafy greens. The models we have mentioned in our Cuisinart juicer reviews have all received good ratings by the majority of users and most of the reviews only compliment their features. However, if you plan to do serious juicing, you can also consider more high end juicers, such as Breville.
